New Moon in Libra_Ram Dass!

There’s a New Moon in Libra on Tuesday! Libra is about balance. According to Kelly Rosano, relationship issues are “front and center” at this new moon, but our first relationship is with ourselves.”What is not built on Truth cannot last in this climate of change. There needs to be Love in your union. Co-dependency is not love. Enabling others is not love. Keeping the peace at all costs is not love. These are the shadow side of Libra.” Read More...

We are still processing the results of last month’s powerful trio of the eclipses and the equinox. Rather than a reset, this new moon is helpful in supporting something in your life that you are striving to balance. Make some commitments around something that became clear to you during the eclipse time that you would like support for.

When we speak of “balance” it can mean many things. Balance at the personality level is one level of balance; balance of the Sacred Male and Female level is another. In order achieve this balance, we need to become aware of our internal dialogs_the opposites within us. Then we can make decisions from an aware ego and that ego can connect to higher consciousness. It is from that place that we can see the bigger picture and make decisions for the good of the whole rather than only for our own personal gain.

In spiritual work, we need to develop a strong functional ego before we can let go of it and connect to the soul and the spirit levels and be guided by them. I recently found some articles written by Ram Dass on this subject on his website_ the interplay between spirituality and psychodynamics and the teacher vs. the guru. Here is a blog article I wrote on this subject with a link to his website.

“I first became aware of Ram Dass when I was working with a client who had been diagnosed with a brain tumor. She was a student of mine in the first school that I taught; I was very fond of her and knew her quite well… Read More
