Political Choices

If you have read my first book, Kicking and Screaming to Enlightenment, then you know that I see a connection between the genetic manipulation and loss of power that we experienced as a species in the point in time we call Atlantis, and what we are experiencing now. Because these issues have come around circle, the energy to see what is happening and to reclaim our power is currently available to us. The future of the planet and of our evolution depends on the choices that we make now. It is not a time to put our heads in the sand or to be apathetic. It is a time to stand in truth and take back our power, both personally and collectively.

This is certainly relevant when we look at what many are observing about our political system as the primary season unfolds. Many, if not most of us were unaware that different states have different rules for voters and distributing delegates for a federal election. And for most states, Independents are not allowed to vote in the primaries. That means that many potential voters are being left out of helping to determine who will run on a Federal ballet. It’s clear to me, this is a sure way of maintaining the control of a 2 part system_one that maintains the status quo of corporate control and money interests, discouraging people from participating in the political system because they have no power.

Independent numbers have grown nationally by leaps and bounds. Why would that be, if there is no Independent Party as such? It’s because people are unhappy with both major political parties and don’t want to be a part of them. in Arizona, more than 50% of the population are registered Independents, more than the number of registered Democrats and Republicans put together! In our “Presidential Preference” election here,(an interesting term; its not considered an actual primary) it is estimated that a million people were not allowed to vote when voting locations were changed from over 200 to 60. Results for the Arizona election were being called on National TV while people still waited in line to vote, some for 4-5 hours. This is Democracy?

But we have a candidate who is challenging those notions now; his name is Bernie Sanders! And although the media would have us believe that he has no chance of winning, I think that’s still up to us! The “culture”, “the patriarchy”, the “powers that be” are certainly fighting to try to keep change from happening, but stranger things have happened. When it’s time and the Universe is supporting change, it can happen when we least expect it. So I hope that you will educate yourself about this election and these candidates, become involved in the process, and make decisions based on informed consent, not sound bites or drama! It’s time to take back our power as citizens of the Universe if we choose to; its up to us!
